Chiwoo Cheonwang medals debuted from KOMSCO in 2016 with a depiction of Chiwoo preparing himself for battle. Each of the subsequent designs has followed him through the various stages of preparing for battle, heading into the thick of the fight, and surveying the aftermath of yet another victory for his armies.
The obverse face of 2019 1/10 oz South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Gold Medallions includes a depiction of the battle shield carried by Chiwoo Cheonwang. The shield is captured from a straight-on angle with the face of Do ggae bi prominently displayed on its surface. You will find inscriptions on this face of the medal denoting the nation of issue, mint of issue, weight, metal content, and purity. There is also a latent security image from KOMSCO included on this side.
On the reverse of 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Gold Medallions is the shared fourth design of the series. Here, Chiwoo is featured in a relatively peaceful scene in the aftermath of a battle. He stands on the field of battle with his shield resting at his side, his sword clutched in his left hand, and his helmet removed as he soaks in the victory.
