Somalia Silver Elephant Coins were rebranded as such in 2004. Originally, these coins were issued as the Zambia Silver Elephant. Initially, the collection had only 1 oz silver and 1 Kilo silver. In 2016 and 2017, the Bavarian State Mint added more silver weights and enhanced the silver purity to .9999 fineness.
