Each 2018 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda Coin in this listing is a near-perfect specimen from the NGC. Coins with a Mint State 69 grade exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These detractions are limited to minuscule hairlines or contact marks found outside the primary focal areas of the coin.
The Early Release designation is used on coins that arrive within a certain timeframe for certification. The ER label in the slab indicates these coins were received by the NGC within the first 30 days of the Chinese Mint’s release of 2018 Silver Pandas.
Chinese Silver Panda coins debuted in 1983 from the Chinese Mint, but were initially only offered in proof for several years. Bullion coins in the collection were not issued until 1989, but have featured every year since that date with a new design on the reverse.
The reverse of the 2018 30 Gram Chinese Silver Panda Coin includes the image of a Giant Panda. The panda is a species of bear native to the highlands of China’s south-central mountain ranges. The bears live on a diet of largely herbs and other plant life, with bamboo forming the backbone of its dietary existence.
On the obverse of all Chinese Silver Panda coins you’ll find the Temple of Heaven. What is actually depicted on this face of the coin is one structure from within the greater Temple of Heaven complex. This building is the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests.
