In reality, hostilities in World War I came to an end in November 2018. On the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month, British, French, and German representative gathered in a railway carriage in Frances Compiegne forest to sign an armistice that initiated a ceasefire. Finally, after four long years, the guns fell silent in Europe.
