The Perth Mint debuted a brand-new collection of silver coins for sale in 2017, and this time the focus wasn’t on the native animals of Australia. The new Marvel Series of silver coins brings a new Marvel comic character to the reverse of a coin throughout a planned six-coin series. Today, 2018 1 oz Tuvalu Black Panther Marvel Series Silver Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The Marvel character known as Black Panther first appeared in July 1966 in an issue of Fantastic Four. As with many other comics in the Marvel universe, Stan Lee was the writer-editor behind Black Panther and writer-artist Jack Kirby was also involved. The real name of Black Panther is T’Challa, and his figure recently joined the Marvel Universe of feature films with a smash-hit 2018 release.
All 2018 1 oz Tuvalu Black Panther Marvel Series Coins in this special listing are available in near-perfect condition. Coins with a Mint State 69 certification from the NGC feature full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These flaws are limited in nature to minuscule hairlines and contact marks, and limited in scope to areas outside the primary focal points of the coin’s surface.
On the obverse of the Tuvalu Black Panther Marvel Series Coins features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty’s portrait captured here is the fourth-generation design created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint and other commonwealth nations around the world.
The reverse of the 2018 1 oz Tuvalu Black Panther Marvel Series Silver Coins bears the image of the comic legend Black Panther. T’Challa is the king and protector of a fictional African nation in the comic series which is known as Wakanda. He combats his enemies with a combination of hand-to-hand combat skills and advanced technology to win the day.
All coins in the Marvel Series come from the Perth Mint, Australia’s oldest operating mint facility. Located in the state of Western Australia, Perth Mint operates independent of the Royal Australian Mint system.
