Each of the medals released by KOMSCO in the exciting Zi:Sin Series features silver and gold for sale as an option. The Zi:Sin Series launched in 2017 and is scheduled to feature one release per calendar year. After the impressive debut of the Gallus design, KOMSCO is back in 2018 with the new Zi:Sin Canis issue. Today, 2018 1 oz South Korean Zi:Sin Canis Gold Medals are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Medal Highlights:
The Zi:Sin Series from KOMSCO is similar to the lunar-themed collections offered by other mints. There are a total of 12 figures depicted in this bold new collection, but rather than reflecting the animals of the lunar calendar, each of the 12 Guardians bears features similar to those of the Chinese lunar animals and is captured in their human form as depicted in Korean cultural lore.
All of the 2018 1 oz South Korean Zi:Sin Canis Gold Medals in this product listing come to you in either a protective capsule or within sealed rolls that contain a total of 20 medals. This is the second design in the collection and is available to you in its original Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
On the reverse side of the 2018 South Korean Zi:Sin Canis Gold Medal is a depiction of god’s most loyal servent. Canis is one of the 12 Guardians, the leaders of god’s armies. Canis is known to be loyal and protective of god, never leaving his side as a faithful servent ready to protect him against any evils that might arise.
Canis is perhaps the most fearsome of god’s generals. He is always found at the front of the army as it prepares for battle and serves as a spearhead for the forces as they head out to face the enemy.
The obverse face of all 2018 1 oz South Korean Zi:Sin Canis Gold Medals includes the vision of Do ggae bi. Just as depicted on the battleshield of Chiwoo Cheonwang, Do ggae bi’s hideous face wards off evil spirits and was used by ancient Koreans to keep those evil spirits away from the home. Individuals would hang an effigy of his face from the roofing tiles on their home as a sign of protection.
