The nation of Canada is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2017, and the Royal Canadian Mint is reviving some of the nations greatest coinage designs as part of the celebration. One example is the Canadian Goose coin from the Big Coin Series, which revives a Canadian Centennial circulation design from 1967. Today, the 2017 5 oz Proof Canadian Silver Alex Colville Big Coin Series Canadian Goose Coin is available from JM Bullion.
This coin is the first in a series that will help the nation of Canada celebrate 150 years in the Big Coin: Alex Colville Designs Series. As the first release, the Royal Canadian Mint went all out in the reproduction of the images found on the original Canadian Centennial circulation coins from 1967 on the nations 100th anniversary.
Canadian artist Alex Colvilles 1967 Canadian Goose $1 (CAD) coin design is majestically recreated on these 2017 5 oz Proof Canadian Silver Big Coin Series Canadian Goose Coins. Both sides of the coin feature a selective gold plating around the rim, with the Canadian Goose plated in gold on the reverse and Queen Elizabeth IIs crown and dress plated on the obverse.
The reverse of each 2017 5 oz Proof Canadian Silver Alex Colville Big Coin Series product features the image of a Canadian Goose flying across the coins surface from right to left. Designed by Colville, this image appeared on the 100th anniversary Canadian Centennial circulation dollars in 1967 as a symbol of the Canadian spirit.
On the obverse of each 2017 5 oz Proof Canadian Silver Canadian Goose Coin is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. Rather than the modern effigy from Susanna Blunt, the Royal Canadian Mint used Arnold Machins second-generation effigy of Her Majesty as appeared on Canadian coins in 1967.
These coins are part of the Big Coin Series as the third release, but also the first release in a group of coins set to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada. They arrive in an RCM classic red clamshell for protection.

As part of the claims process at JM Bullion, we require customers to file a police report with local law enforcement and provide documentation of said report to us. If you have not previously filed a police report, we can help provide you with some basic how-to steps. First and foremost, note there are three options available in many jurisdictions:
Step 1: Locate Nearest Department
You should file a police report with the nearest, appropriate law enforcement agency. If you live within city limits, your local police department is the proper authority to file a report with. If you live outside established city limits, the local sheriffs department may have jurisdiction. You can locate the proper department by conducting an online search or calling 311 (information), if that service is available in your area.
Step 2: Provide Detailed Information
Whether you file a report in person, over the phone, or online, make sure that you provide as much detail about the incident as possible. When it involves property loss or damage, make sure to provide relevant financial information as well.
Step 3: Obtain a Copy of the Report
When it comes to filing a claim with JM Bullion, we require a copy of the police report. If you filed a report in person, you can obtain a written copy immediately or get a case number and retrieve a copy of the report when its ready.
When you file a report on the phone or online, make sure to provide contact information such as a telephone number and email address so you can receive a copy of the report.
If you file a report online, you can often print a copy of your report instantly upon submitting the paperwork online. Additionally, you may find that some jurisdictions do not allow you to file a report over the phone. If you need further details on filing a report, you should call your local law enforcement department or 311 for assistance in starting your police report.
