The Lunar Series II collection of gold and silver bullion coins was available from the Perth Mint between 2008 and 2019. The 12-coin series was the second of its kind from the mint and expanded upon the popularity of the previous iteration by offering more sizes and options in the series. Today, 2017 2 oz Australian Silver Lunar Rooster Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion in near-perfect condition.
Coin Highlights:
The Perth Mint introduced the concept of lunar-themed silver and gold coins in 1996 with its first Lunar Series collection. The original collection used distinct designs on its silver and gold coins in each release, a design concept that has continued on subsequent series of coins. In addition, bullion and proof versions are available with each of the 12 releases in any lunar collection.
All 2017 2 oz Australian Silver Lunar Rooster Coins in this product listing come with a Mint State 69 certification. Coins in this condition are considered near-perfect and have full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws present. You will find those flaws only outside of the primary focal points of the coin and notice that flaws are limited to only minuscule contact marks or hairlines.
The included First Strike label indicates the timing of the coin’s arrival for grading. Each one must have been received by the PCGS or an approved third-party depository within 30 days of its original release to qualify for the FS label.
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse side of each 2017 Australian Silver Lunar Rooster Coin. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. This design was originally created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint of England.
A family of chickens is depicted in the reverse design of the 2017 2 oz Australian Silver Lunar Rooster Coin release. In this design element, you will find a rooster to the right with a hen pecking away at seeds on the ground as three chicks are depicted nearby doing the same thing.
