Included on the reverse face of these coins is a single birch leaf from a grouping of leaves that has a green, crystal-encrusted drusy stone added. This expertly engraved finish adds deep texture to the leaves in the design.
On this reverse of the 2017 1 oz Proof Canadian Silver Brilliant Birch Leaves coin youll find a design from Tony Bianco. It includes a cluster of birch leaves, with the one leaf design as mentioned above. Surrounding the leaves is an art-nouveau-inspired frame of curling wood and stylized leaf forms.
The obverse of the Birch Leaves coin includes the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majestys effigy on these coins was created in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt, and includes engravings of Her Majestys name and the phrase D.G. Regina.
