Sales of the 2016 US Mint Proof Set reached 595,184 sets. Since 2012, Proof Set sales have failed to reach the 1 million mark in any of the years. However, during some of these years, the lower sales has led to higher prices on the secondary market. Even with the lower sales, there is still interest in the Sets, as they are great ways for people to get started coin collecting or to add to their collections. The 2016 Proof Set has 1 less coin than the 2015 Set, as there were only 3 Presidents who met the criteria to be a part of the Presidential Dollar set. The US Mint in San Francisco minted this set. JM Bullion has these 2016 US Mint Proof Sets available for purchase right now.
