On the obverse is the image of the coat of arms for Somalia. It features two young leopards holding up a shield that bears a single star on a background field of horizontal lines. The face value and year of issue are included on this side.
These coins each earned a grade of Mint State 70 from the NGC, indicating they are perfect products. An MS70 coin has its full, original luster, and no detracting flaws. In order to qualify as Early Release coins, each was packaged and shipped to an NGC depository within 30 days of its release.
