The obverse face of each of the 2016 American Silver Eagle coins in this product listing includes a colorized finish. Each individual coin has a different appearance, with colors representing the natural world in a different time of year. The winter coin, for example, has white layers of fresh snow on the ground Liberty walks along, with a dark green robe covering her figure.
Each of the coins in the 2016 American Silver Eagle Four Seasons Coin Set is in BU condition. Coins in this condition exhibit no signs of wear and tear, but may feature minor flaws that include breaks in the luster, spotted surfaces, and contact marks.
On the obverse of each 2016 American Silver Eagle coin in this Four Seasons Coin Set you'll find the colorized image of Walking Liberty, which was created originally in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman for the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin. In addition to the beautiful colorization of these coins, a 24-karat gold plating has been added to the background.
The reverse of all American Silver Eagle coins features the heraldic eagle of the United States. This image has been used on American coinage since 1794, with this particular incarnation created in 1986 by then-Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, John Mercanti.
All 2016 American Silver Eagle coins are originally struck by the United States Mint, but the mint does not colorize any of its coinage. Emporium Hamburg, a third-party authorized dealer in Germany, has colorized these coins with a limited-edition set of just 2,000 releases. Each one arrives in a black display box, with each coin individually encapsulated and a Certificate of Authenticity.
