As you look at the reverse design, you’ll notice that a violent storm is rolling through the open plains of Canada, with a farmhouse and barn in the middle ground. As the storm rolls on into the distance and the sun cracks through, a flash of brilliant red, yellow, green, blue, and purple shines through and comes to the ground in the field in the foreground in the form of a rainbow.
The obverse of the 2016 1 oz Proof Canadian Silver Weather Phenomenon Radiant Rainbow Coin includes the familiar right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Created in 2003 and in use on Canadian coinage since 2004, this image is from Susanna Blunt and represents the fourth depiction of the Queen on Canadian currency.
All 2016 1 oz Proof Canadian Silver Weather Phenomenon Radiant Rainbow coins feature a beautiful proof finish, with serrated edges to the design. Your coin ships to you in a maroon clamshell from the Royal Canadian Mint, offering protection and a perfect display platform for your purchase.
