The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is one of the most highly regarded bullion coins in the world, and although the Royal Canadian Mint never alters the design, it does occasionally enhance it with unique privy marks. In honor of the Year of the Monkey on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the Royal Canadian Mint added a special Monkey Privy to a rare version of the coin. Today the 2016 Monkey Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is available in Reverse Proof from JM Bullion.

Each 2016 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin in this product listing has a near-perfect proof grade of PF69. The NGC assigns this grade to coins with their full, original mint luster, while acknowledging the existence of as many as two minor detracting flaws on the coins surface.
As an Early Release coin, these products had to meet a few standards with the NGC. Most importantly, these coins had to arrive at the NGC depository or an NGC-approved facility, within the first 30 days of the release date as set by the Royal Canadian Mint.
These Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins are unique reverse proof products. A standard proof coin has a frosted design set overlaying a background field that is deeply-mirrored. AS the name suggests, these reverse proof coins have a frosted background with a clear, mirrored finish on the design sets of the coin.
On the reverse is the image of the sugar maple leaf, the official emblem of Canada. A small monkey privy is engraved to the lower left of the maple leaf design, and both the leaf and monkey have the clear, mirrored finish indicative of a reverse proof.
The obverse bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II. Created in 2003 by Canadian artist Susanna Blunt, this is just the third depiction of Her Majesty to appear on Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins.
