The newest silver bullion coin from the Perth Mint follows in the historic footsteps of the some of the most popular coin programs in the world. Australia’s oldest mint is well known for producing silver bullion coins with impressive purity and ever-changing designs that are in high demand among investors and collectors. The all-new 2016 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo is now available from JM Bullion in near-perfect condition.
Coin Highlights:
Australian Silver Kangaroo coins are an all-new bullion program from the Perth Mint. The Australian Silver Kookaburra and Silver Koala coins were the first widely popular bullion coins from the Perth Mint, and the new Australian Silver Kangaroo follows in those footsteps. Like the other silver bullion coins, these new coins will feature a brand-new reverse design each year that focuses on a native species, in this case the kangaroo.
Unlike the other coins from the Perth Mint, the Australian Silver Kangaroo is the first silver bullion coin struck in .9999 pure silver. Previous coins featured only .999 pure silver, making this the first coin of its kind from the Perth Mint.
Each 2016 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo in this JM Bullion listing has a near-perfect grade of MS69 from the NGC. Coins of this condition have their full, original luster, but may feature a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. As part of the Early Release edition, these coins were received by the NGC or one of its approved depositories within the first 30 days of its release from the Perth Mint.
On the reverse side is the image of a kangaroo in full stride, with the rays of the sun emanating from the background. The obverse bears the familiar right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.
Australia’s Perth Mint is a state-owned entity of the government of Western Australia, and is not associated with the Royal Australian Mint.
