There is no creature more commonly associated with the continent of Australia than the kangaroo. The kangaroo is a native species of Australia and cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. An unofficial symbol of the nation of Australia, the kangaroo is a fixture on national currency and graces the reverse side of the 2016 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo coin, available right now from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Kangaroos immediately captured the imagination of explorers upon arrival in the South Pacific. Found only in Australia, the kangaroo is a unique species with a gait and movement unlike any other animal in the world. These massive marsupials hop across the open spaces of the continent on large, powerful legs, and use an oversized, muscular tail to help balance their bodies.
The design for this brand-new coin from Australia’s Perth Mint has been a closely guarded secret that was only revealed to the public at the World Fair of Money. The American Numismatic Association oversaw the unveiling of this new coin, which is set to rival the American Silver Eagle’s dominance of the precious metals coin market.
Australia’s Perth Mint is the nation’s oldest operating facility. It was once a part of the British Royal Mint system that included facilities in Sydney and Melbourne that have since closed. Although not associated with the Royal Australian Mint system, all products from the Perth Mint are considered legal tender under Australia’s Currency Act of 1965.

"Coin design is absolutely gorgeous. I love the radial lines on it. If you'd like a closer look, take a look at my unboxing from JMBullion... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBvPSj-j02I"
"Very Nice!!! Love the look of this coin. And as always love JM Bullion!!!!!!"
"I liked these so much, I bought more. Always a pleasure doing business with JMB. I put all my coins and rounds in airtight cases to protect them from the environment."
"Another beautiful coin and JM's normal impeccable shipping! Bought 6 just before they broke $18. I can't say enough good things about JM!"
"I got this for sale on black Friday for a terrific price. A spectacular coin with no marks on it at all. BU!!!"
"nice coin, but i think i prefer how the funnel webs look"
"Just received my order of these beauties and there far more better in hand than the picture shows. Weather your a collector or an investor you really should have some of these in your portfolio. I again shopped around for the best prices on these kangaroos and I again found myself right back here with JM Bullion as I always do. I'm not even gonna take the time to shop around for better deals anymore, it's just a waste of time, I've spent many $$$$$ through JM Bullion over the span of being a stacker and decided that this company will be always be my primary place to buy my Silver and Gold. Five star seller across the board AAAAAAAAA+ satifaction"
"A beautiful coin which features a symmetrical arrangement of musical instruments on the obverse and a large concert hall on the reverse. The design does not change from year to year but with Vienna's status as the Cultural Center of Classical music it is a fitting design. The face value is 1.5 Euro. It is not high relief or have different finishes on the silver but it does have a low premium over spot almost always. It is a coin backed by a government that is barely more in price than a round. An excellent coin for those who shy away from privately minted bars, rounds, or bullets."
"These coins are very nice. With the two different textures on each side of the coin, they are unique. The kangaroo on the reverse side is quite detailed with a very nice multiple designed textured patterns. They look a lot better in person. The .9999 purity is a plus in my book. Besides the Canadian maple leaf, there not many other countries that have .9999 purity. A must have for anyone who likes unique designs in their bullion collection. And it doesn't hurt that they are legal tender either. With black Friday sales going on here, JMB has a great price on them as well. Thanks JMB!"
"Another beautiful coin at a great price not to mention the 9999 purity, not as nice as the elephant but i'll give it 4 stars, I sure wish someday they can change the reverse on some of these coins. I'm tired of seeing the queen on almost every coin out there unless it's a silver eagle or Panda and i'm sure since china owns us you will probably see a Panda on the reverse side of the 2016 silver eagle. Rumor has it that the 2016 Eagles will have a new image so I wouldn't be surprised"
