There is no story more famous from the Christian bible than that of Noah and his ark. Tasked by God with saving humanity from itself, Noah was given a small window of time to construct a massive ark to save his family and the animals of the world from a massive, devastating flood sent by God. These images are indelibly captured on the 2016 ½ oz Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark Coin available from JM Bullion.

Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark coins are the official silver bullion coin of the small Eastern European nation of Armenia. There are few countries in the world as deeply connected to the Christian religion as Armenia. The site of Noah’s ark landing was Mount Ararat, which was historically within the borders of the Armenian Republic.
The Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark coin is one of the newest bullion silver coins available today. Introduced in 2011 for the first time, original strikings included a ¼ oz, ½ oz, and 1 oz coin. In 2012, a 5 oz, 10 oz, and 1 Kilogram coin were added to the program due to its immediate popularity among investors.
On the reverse side of each 2016 ½ oz Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark coin is the image of Noah’s Ark as it floats upon the flood waters. In the background you can see the sun rising over the peak of Mount Ararat. In the foreground, the symbol of the flood’s end is visible in the olive branch in the dove’s beak.
The obverse features the coat of arms for the Republic of Armenia. Additional engravings on this side include the face value of the coin, its weight, purity, and metal content, and the “LEV” mint mark from Geiger Edelmetalle’s production subsidiary. All engravings on the coin are featured in English and Armenian.
Geiger Edelmetalle is one of the five mints of Germany, and the Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark coins are struck by its subsidiary of Leipsizer Edelmetallverarbeitungs, GmbH.
