Coin Highlights:
American Silver Eagle coins were introduced following passage of the Liberty Coin Act of 1985 by Congress. The bill authorized the release of silver stores from the Defense National Stockpile for use in producing an official silver bullion coin of the federal government. Under the law, all coins in the series must contain only silver sourced from within the US.
The 2015-W Burnished American Silver Eagle coins in this product listing have a near-perfect grade from the PCGS, meaning that each maintains its full, original luster. However, these coins do have a maximum of two contact marks, blemishes, or other detracting flaws. These flaws are not visible within the primary viewing area on the coin’s surface.
As part of the US Mint’s First Strike Series, these coins were received by PCGS within the first 30 days of its release. Each coin bears the traditional images found on all American Silver Eagles. Walking Liberty is featured on the obverse, while the heraldic eagle graces the reverse side.
The United States Mint strikes all of its American Silver Eagle Coins based upon demand from numismatics. However, the burnished coin series is generally produced in extremely low numbers, making the coins hard to find.
