2015-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle Coins feature Adolph A. Weinman’s Liberty design on the obverse. Weinman was commissioned in 1916 to help redesign the face of the half-dollar coin which was used from 1916 to 1947. This image features a depiction of Walking Liberty walking towards the sunset, the American flag draped across her shoulders with oaken branches in her left arm. Inscriptions on this coin include Liberty at the top, the issuing year at the bottom, with In God We Trust located on the bottom right.

The reverse field of all 2015-W Proof American Silver Eagle Coins showcase the heraldic eagle of the United States of America. John Mercanti created this image in 1986. The image is displayed front and center on the reverse. The United States of America is inscribed at the top with the weight, metal, and denomination listed at the bottom.

The United States Mint introduced the American Silver Eagle Series in 1986 featuring BU, proof, and burnished versions. Senator James A.
