The 2015 release of 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins is one of the most notable dates in the history of the program. The combined mintage of the BU, Proof, and Burnished coins hit the highest single-year level in the program’s history. Though it was driven by the BU Eagle, the Proof Eagle had a good year as well. Now, certified 2015-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.

The 2015 date mark in the American Silver Eagle Series will long be remembered as the highest overall mintage date in the program’s history. The BU Silver Eagle sold 47 million coins. When you add the Proof and Burnished mintages to this, the overall mintage for the year was 47,931,397 coins.
While the above figure is a runaway record for the series overall and for the BU version of the coin, the Proof Silver Eagle had a moderately successful year as well. Although this mintage is not in the top ten for the Proof Silver Eagle, it is notable in that demand has fallen every year since, as of 2022.
Walking Liberty features on the obverse of the 2015-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagle, as created by Adolph A. Weinman. This design depicts Liberty walking confidently towards the sunrise, draped in the American flag, with her arm outstretched, holding branches of laurel and oak in her left hand, symbolizing civil and military strength.
The heraldic eagle is found on the reverse of the 2015-W Proof American Silver Eagle. Created by John Mercanti, the design features a proud eagle behind a shield, clutching arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right, with a banner above proclaiming “E Pluribus Unum”. Above the eagle is a constellation of thirteen stars, representing the original thirteen colonies.
2015-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins listed here are PR69 specimens. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor flaws. Examples of these detractions include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines.
