The year 2015 is the Year of the Goat on the Chinese Lunar Calendar, and the Royal Canadian Mint is celebrating with a limited-edition striking of its popular Canadian Silver Maple Leaf with a privy mark. In honor of the Year of the Goat, the RCM has added a small goat privy mark to the nation’s official silver bullion coin, the Silver Maple Leaf, and right now the 2015 1 oz Sheep Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is available through JM Bullion.

Each year the Royal Canadian Mint releases special Lunar Series Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins, with each one bearing a privy mark for the animal represented on the current cycle of the Zodiac. The total mintage of these special privy mark coins is usually held at a maximum of 100,000 coins.
The 2015 1 oz Sheep Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins offered today from JM Bullion are in PF68 condition according to the NGC. These coins have their full, original mint luster, and feature no detracting flaws of any kind on the surface. As a reverse proof coin, these Sheep Privy Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins have a deeply-mirrored finish on the design sets, and a strong, frosted finish on the background field.
On the reverse face of the coin you’ll find the familiar sugar maple leaf design, with a special goat privy located in the bottom-left field of the coin’s design set. The obverse bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
