Right now, the 2015 1 oz Treasures of the World North America Silver Locket coin is available at JM Bullion.

Turquoise has been a popular gemstone in human societies for hundreds of years. From jewelry to decorative mosaics, cultures from the Ancient Egyptians to the Aztec Empire of Central America have used this gemstone in many ways. North America is represented along with turquoise on this coin because some of the largest deposits of turquoise in the world are found in the American Southwest.
Treasures of the World is a coin series from the Perth Mint honoring the natural wonders and majestic treasures from different corners of the globe. The series launched in 2013 with a coin honoring Europe and loose garnets, and followed that with a 2014 coin honoring Australia and gold.
On the reverse face of the 2015 1 oz Treasures of the World North America Locket, a southwestern landscape is featured along with the turquoise locket. Unlike its gold counterpart, the turquoise locket on this coin is featured in the lower-middle portion of the coin, rather than dead center.
A traditional southwestern landscape, including a cactus, tumbleweed, and a rock wall, are included in the design. The obverse side of the coin features the same turquoise locket, with Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait visible above the locket field.
The Perth Mint produces an extremely limited number of these coins for sale each year. No specific mintage is available for this coin, but the 2013 and 2014 coins were capped at 7,500, so there’s no time to waste.
