The 2015 1 oz Burundi Silver African Lion Coin has been graded and certified by the NGC as being in MS69 condition. These particular coins are also part of an early release batch, meaning they were some of the first coins to be produced by the mint. This 2015 1 oz Burundi Silver African Lion Coin is the first piece to be released from the new "African Lion Coin" series. It is one of only about 50,000 ER (Early Release) editions to be produced during its limited mintage. Each piece has been masterfully struck from 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver and carries a legally tender face value of 5,000 Burundi francs. All coins included in this collection have undergone a rigorous evaluation by the NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) and received a nearly perfect grade of MS (Mint State) 69. As a protective measure, every coin will be shipped in its original NGC certified evaluation to prevent any potential damage during the transport process. Also included with each coin is a certificate of authenticity that provides the coin’s serial number for verification purposes.
The obverse of the coin depicts none other than the king of the jungle himself, accompanied by his female lioness companion to his right. From his thick mane to his penetrating deep-set eyes, wildlife enthusiasts are certain to appreciate the detailed rendering of Africa’s most iconic creature. Equally worth noting is the realistic portrayal of the lions’ African savanna home with its lush Baobab trees and tall blades of grass.
