The Baseball Hall of Fame houses the busts of some of Major League Baseball’s greatest players. Some of these individuals were early participants in the league, which dates back to the 19th century. Others are recent honorees whose contributions to the modern era of the game are recognized with induction to the HOF. Today, you can purchase a 2014 $1 Baseball Hall of Fame Silver Coin from JM Bullion with a PR70 grade from the Professional Coin Grading Service. Each of these individual coins contains a special Andre Dawson signature label and are part of the First Strike collection.

Each of these coins includes an Andre Dawson label. Dawson played for a total of four franchises during his professional career, with much of his 21-year career completed as a member of the Montreal Expos and Chicago Cubs. Dawson finished his career playing for his hometown Florida Marlins in 1995 and 1996 when the franchise was in its early days. As a member of the Expos, he set franchise records for career games, at bats, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, homeruns, and stolen bases.
These 2014 $1 Baseball Hall of Fame coins have PR70 grades from the PCGS, meaning each is considered a perfectly struck proof. The DCAM, or deep cameo, designation is reserved for coins with a deeply mirrored, clear background field overlaid by a strong, frosted design element. The “P” mint mark identifies the coin as a product of the Philadelphia Mint. Each coin includes an Andre Dawson label in the sealed packaging, which features his player photo, name, and reproduction signature.
On the reverse side of the coin is the 3D image of a baseball, along with the engravings “United States of America” and “E Pluribus Unum.” The obverse features a baseball glove with the engravings “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” and “2014” inside the palm. Cassie McFarland was the winner of a contest held by the US Mint to develop a design for the coin series.
