Coin Highlights:
As a member of the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets, Tom Glavine enjoyed an illustrious career that saw him become one of the most dominant left-handed pitchers in baseball. In addition to winning a World Series title with the Atlanta Braves, Glavine won two NL Cy Young Awards and become one of just three left-handed pitchers to eclipse 300 career wins.
This 2014 $1 Baseball Hall of Fame coin has been given an MS70 grade from the Professional Coin Grading Service. This designation indicates a coin with a perfect mint strike. On the obverse side of each coin is the image of a baseball glove. Inside the palm are the engravings “Liberty,” “In God We Trust,” and “2014.” The reverse features the curved, 3D image of a baseball. Engravings include “United States of America” and “E Pluribus Unum.” These coins are the first-ever curved coins struck by the US Mint.
