Lunar Series II coins are typically struck for Australia, but this unique 2014 Colorized Australian Silver Horse Rectangle 4-Coin Set is issued for the Cook Islands. Each of the four coins in this release has a unique, rectangular finish with 1 oz. of .999 pure silver content. The four coins have a different Year of the Horse design.
Each of the 2014 Australian Silver Year of the Horse rectangle coins in this four-coin set has a different Year of the Horse design. In no particular order, these Year of the Horse designs feature colorized images of a golden yellow horse, a stunning black horse, a mother and colt pairing with brown coloring, and a mustang galloping with a rich, red-brown coloring.
On the obverse of the coins in the 2014 Australian Silver Horse Rectangle 4-Coin Set is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. Unlike other Australian-issued coins, these products have a right-profile portrait of Her Majesty from Raphael Maklouf. This design features the Queen wearing a larger crown and jewels.
The reverse of each of the coins bears the unique Year of the Horse designs explained above. None of these images match the standard silver and gold designs for Lunar Series II Year of the Horse coins, but bring their own beauty to the series.
All 2014 Australian Silver Horse Rectangle 4-Coin sets ship in a panoramic display box that allows you to see all four rectangular coin designs at the same time. A numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included, as well.
