The 2014 $1 Australian Lunar Year of the Horse Silver Proof coin has been produced by the Royal Australian Mint and is available in brand new condition. Each of these coins contain 11.66 grams (~0.37 troy ounces) of pure .999 silver. The coins will ship in their original RAM packaging which includes an individual display box and a COA.
Each of these coins showcase a design celebrating the Lunar Year of the Horse (2014). On the coin’s reverse is the image of a horse’s head at the center. Above the horse is the minting year “2014” with the words “Year of the Horse” located below. To the right of the horse are Chinese inscriptions for the Year of the Horse. There are also 4 roses displayed in each corner of the coin.
The obverse of the coin shows Queen Elizabeth II as depicted by Ian Rank-Broadley, the famous British sculptor. In his portrait, the Queen is wearing her tiara with inscriptions for her name and the country marked to her left and right respectively. Also marked on this side of the coin are the minting year and legal tender value of the coin which show “2014 1 Dollar.”
