The 2013 1 oz Canadian Silver Wood Bison Coin is now available from JM Bullion with NGC certification.

- 6th and final coin in the Canadian Wildlife Series.
- Arrives in a protective slab from the NGC.
- Contains 1 oz of .9999 pure silver.

Canadian Wildlife Series coins were released over the course of three years. Starting in 2011, the Royal Canadian Mint released two coins each year, one in February and one in August. The first four coins in the series were designed by Royal Canadian Mint Assistant Engraver William Woodruff, while Canadian artist Emily Damstra designed the 2013 coins.
The 2013 1 oz Canadian Silver Wood Bison coin available to you right now is in Mint State 68 condition. According to the NGC, these coins have their full, original luster, but also feature three to four minor detracting flaws. These flaws are limited contact marks, and are found outside the primary focal areas of the coin.
On the reverse face of the coin is the image of a Wood Bison, as created by Damstra. Engravings on this face of the coin include the nation of issue, purity of the coin, its weight, and the metal content. Damstra’s “ED” initials are also included on this side.
The obverse features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Designed and used for the first time on Canadian coins in 2003, Her Majesty’s effigy is included along with engravings that read “Elizabeth II,” “2013,” and “5 Dollars.”
The Royal Canadian Mint currently operates two facilities across the country. The original mint location is in the federal capital of Ottawa, while a secondary facility was opened in Winnipeg in the 1980s.
