The reverse of all Burnished American Silver Eagle coins features the heraldic eagle of the United States. Based upon the Great Seal of the United States, this design features a bald eagle with the national shield on its chest. In its right talon, it holds the arrows of war, but its beak is turned toward its left talon where it clutches the olive branch of peace.
