The Australian Silver Kookaburra is the nation’s leading silver bullion coin series. Introduced in 1990, the Silver Kookaburra has not only been struck each year since that year, but it has also been released with a new reverse design element each year. This is a trend that almost all other major silver bullion coins have followed in the years since. Today, 2012 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Dragon Privy Coins are available to you online at JM Bullion.

Perth Mint issues the Australian Silver Kookaburra coin on an annual basis. The modern issues of the coin come with 1 oz silver, 10 oz silver, and 1 Kilo silver. While the larger weights typically have an unlimited mintage, meaning the mint issues the coins through the end of the year of issue, the 1 oz silver coins have a mintage cap. In 2012, Perth Mint increased the mintage of 1 oz silver coins from 300,000 to 500,000 coins. The Silver Kookaburra Dragon Privy enjoyed a boost as well with a total of 80,000 coins available compared to 50,000 in many other years.
All of these 2012 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra Dragon Privy Coins are available with protective plastic capsules. The coins honor the Year of the Dragon on the Chinese lunar calendar with the inclusion of a dragon privy mark on the reverse field.
