The Lamp of Remembrance is shown as a circle with a flame inside.
The reverse is also designed by Weaver. The main focus of that image is on an eagle, which is meant to represent the strength of the nation and the survivors and family members of those involved in the 9/11 event. In the background, wavy lines indicate falling or flowing water, a symbol of healing and the continuing nature of life. The water also symbolizes serenity and peace, something many hoped for and continue to hope for after the 9/11 attack.
