One of the most coveted pieces of silver for sale in any collection is the very first issue. When the United States Mint introduced the America the Beautiful Series in 2010, the Arkansas Hot Springs National Park design was the first to feature in the 56-coin collection. Today, 2010-P 5 oz Burnished ATB Hot Springs Silver Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Hot Springs National Park is located in Garland County, Arkansas and is adjacent to the city of the same name (Hot Springs). The land around the modern park is one of the oldest preserved spaces in the United States. Hot Springs Reservation was first created by an act of Congress on April 20, 1832, and was intended for use in future recreation.
The establishment of this reservation of land predates the national park system and was the first time land had been set aside by the United States government for the intended use of recreation. Hot Springs National Park was designated in the current national park system nearly a century later in March 1921.
All 2010-P 5 oz Burnished ATB Hot Springs Silver Coins from the United States Mint come with a commemorative box and include a Certificate of Authenticity. Burnished coins in the ATB Series have a matte finish that separates them visually from the bullion version of the coin and come with a “P” mint mark from the Philadelphia Mint.
On the obverse of all ATB Silver Coins is the left-profile portrait of George Washington. The nation’s first elected president has featured on the US quarter since 1932 and the design was created then on his 200th birthday by John Flanagan.
The reverse side of 2010-P 5 oz Burnished ATB Hot Springs Silver Coins features the image of the thermal fountain found at the front of the national park’s headquarters building in the state of Arkansas.
