Made in honor of the 3rd U.S. Presidency, these coins were released by the United States Mint as part of the First Spouse Series. Because Thomas Jefferson was a widower while in office, this release does not include a spouse design. Rather, following a provision to the series, a Lady Liberty portrait is featured from the era of Jefferson’s presidency. Right now, 2007 1/2 oz US Mint First Spouse Jefferson’s Liberty Gold Coins in certified-perfect condition are available to purchase online from JM Bullion.

Established in 1792, The United States Mint is responsible for the production of all U.S. circulating coins. The mint also produces classic bullion coins like the Silver and Gold American Eagle and the Gold Buffalo. Collectors also pursue the mint’s special commemorative releases, which celebrate iconic moments, places, and people from U.S. history. One of mint’s most popular programs is the First Spouse Series, which began in 2007 under Public Law 109-145.
