Coin Highlights:
The release of the 2005 American Silver Eagle Coin came at a time just before demand for the coins would skyrocket. Starting in 2000, demand for Silver Eagles surged to levels around 10 million annually. The 2005 release actually had one of the lowest at the time at just over 8.8 million.
All of these 2005 American Silver Eagle Monster Boxes come with a US Mint Monster Box. In total, this box holds 500 individual 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins, each of which is in BU condition. The coins are housed within the box in 25 individual 20-coin tubes.
On the obverse field of 2005 Silver Eagle Coins, you will find a depiction of Walking Liberty. This design was created for the US Mint back in 1916 for the US Half Dollar and shows the full-length figure of Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. Her right hand is extended, her left carries branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag is draped around her figure.
The reverse side of the 2005 American Silver Eagle Coins comes with the image of the modern heraldic eagle. Designed in 1986 by John Mercanti, it features an eagle in front-facing relief with the US national shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other. There are 13 stars in a triangular cluster overhead.
