The Perth Mint debuted gold coins in their Lunar Series beginning in 1996. The series at first releases gold coins in four sizes – 1 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz. In 2000, they added three larger sizes to their usual release of four, 1 kilogram, 10 oz, and 2 oz. In 2004, a 1/2 oz size was added. For the last few releases in Lunar Series I, a 10 kilogram coin was added.
Your 2005 1/20 oz Australia Gold Lunar Rooster Coin will arrive preserved in a flip. These coins are the 10th release in Perth Mint’s Lunar Series and are the smallest in the series.
