The included UCAM label denotes the coins have a strong, frosted matte design element and deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. The contrasting visual elements give the design the visual appearance of floating above the surface.
The 1 oz Proof American Eagle coin issued in 2004 experienced a slight decline of just under 130 coins from the previous year. The US Mint issued the four coins of the Proof Gold Eagle Series for individual sale with mintage caps applied, and also offered them as part of the annual 4-Coin Proof Gold Eagle Set.
