The 1990s was the lowest point in demand experienced by the Proof American Silver Eagles. Each date mark in the 1990s remains one of the lowest, with the first several coins of the 1990s marking some of the lowest mintages on record. Coming out of the late 1990s, the Proof Silver Eagles surged upward through 2006. Now, certified 2003-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.

After the 1986 and 1987 releases of the Proof Silver Eagle, the United States Mint saw demand for the coins follow a general downward trend through the late 1980s and the first half of the 1990s. The coins hit a record low of just over 375,000 coins in 1994 and began a slow rebound in demand in the next several years.
Starting in 1997, the Proof Silver Eagles began to take flight toward higher levels of demand. In fact, from 1997 to 2006, there was only one date mark that experienced a dip compared to the previous year. The 2003 release of the coins had a mintage of 747,831 coins. This marked an increase of just over 100,000 coins more than the 2002 release, which happened to be the only blip in rising demand in the period from 1997 to 2006.
Walking Liberty is found on the obverse side of 2003-W Proof Silver Eagles. The design was created in 1916 and featured on the US half dollar until 1947. The image showcases Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon with the American flag draped around her figure.
The heraldic eagle of the United States is present on the reverse of 2003-W 1 oz Proof Silver Eagles. John Mercanti modified this image for the release of the American Silver Eagles in 1986 and it features the bald eagle with the US national shield, arrows of war, olive branch of peace, and a triangular cluster of 13 stars.
These 2003-W 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins are near-perfect specimens. Coins with a PR69 certification showcase full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor flaws. Those flaws must be located outside the primary focal points and are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines. DCAM labels are for proof coins with strong, frosted designs and deeply-mirrored, clear fields.
