Product Description

Out of the 9,748,109 Silver Eagles minted in 2001, only 86,596 have been certified as an MS69 grade by NGC.

In 2001, the United States Mint produced approximately 9,748,109 American Silver Eagle Coins. Of the originals, only 86,596 of them have been assigned an MS69 (Mint State 69) grade by the NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Corporation). MS69 American Silver Eagle coins are coins with a near perfect condition and have retained most of their original luster. These coins are virtually free of scuffs or hairline marks. One or two contact marks may be visible, but never on a prominently featured part of the design. All coins assessed by the NGC are sealed and kept in their certified slabs or cases to preserve their official mint state.

Coin Highlights:

  • Contains 1 oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Graded a near-perfect MS69 by the NGC.
  • Has a $1 face value back by the United States government.
  • Minted by the United State Mint.
  • Individual coins ship in plastic NGC slabs.

As a product of the United States Mint, every coin is made from 1 troy ounce of .999 pure silver. Collectors will be impressed by the intricate and masterful details of each engraved image. The front of the coin features Lady Liberty walking toward the rising sun with one arm holding a pile of branches and the other one beckoning in invitation. The illustration is symbolic of the warm welcome that US extends to all who come to this country in search of opportunities and success.

The reverse side of the coin displays the Great Seal of the United States, which features an eagle behind a shield. In its talons, the eagle holds an olive branch and set of arrows as a reminder of the peace and protection promised to our country by the government. With its patriotic design, this charming piece of Americana is a tribute to our nation’s core beliefs and values.
