Geiger Original Bars have obverse designs minted with a pearl finish, reverse designs that have a textured, high-relief finish, unique serial numbers, and ribbed edges. All of these efforts are aimed at preventing counterfeiting of the bars.
On the obverse of the 20 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bars you’ll find the image of Schloss Guldengossa. This 18th century castle was built in the classic Baroque style and was completed in 1720. It was the first registered facility of Geiger Edelmetalle, and today serves as the corporate headquarters for the company’s operations out of Leipzig, Germany.
The reverse of the Geiger Square Silver Bar includes a repeating pattern of the LEV rhombus logo for Geiger. There is a rectangular, matte-finished section at the bottom which features the serial number of the bar. There is also a UV-coating on this side of the bar that adds another layer of security to the product. When a black light is shone upon the bars, the LEV rhombus should appear in the center and the unique serial number in the matte-finished rectangle.
Geiger Edelmetalle opened for business in 1218 in Leipzig, Germany. The region was already a hub for silver operations in the region, and today Geiger’s headquarters and state-of-the-art refining facility are both located in the area.
