Each of the 2 oz Time Travels Series Wayfarer Maiden Silver Rounds in this listing is available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The rounds in this release are available individually inside of protective plastic capsules from the North American Mint. This is one of the three different versions available in the debut release of the series.
Time Travels Series silver rounds are all available with 2 Troy oz of pure silver. However, with each release there will be three different versions of the same design. These 2 oz silver rounds are the BU option. Additional choices include the antique silver round and a proof-like round, both of which feature much lower mintage figures than the BU option.
On the obverse of the 2 oz Time Travels Series Wayfarer Maiden Silver Round is the depiction of a woman wielding two pistols. With a determined look on her face, she holds her two pistols pointing straight up toward the sky. The background field includes steampunk design elements, such as a flying ship depicted over her left shoulder and gears as a border design element.
The reverse face of 2 oz Wayfarer Maiden Silver Rounds includes the common design element. The imagery on this side is anchored by an all-seeing eye in the center with a variety of interlocking gears in the background design element. The same border design of gears is again featured on this side of the round. An inscription along the top and bottom rocker reads “Time Travels in All Directions.”
All of the round designs in this series focus on steampunk. A subgenre of science fiction, steampunk designs and literature often take place in the 19th century or very early 20th century in a setting that offers an alternative history to that course which actually played out in reality.
