Monarch Precious Metals has established itself in the precious metals industry as a unique minting facility with hand-stamped, hand-poured products. Rarely does the refinery announce limited-edition products with set production caps, but it now has a rare offering that is only available while short supplies last. The 2 oz Monarch Precious Metals Tombstone Black Widow Silver Bar is available now from JM Bullion.
Bar Highlights:
The Black Widow spider is actually one of 31 recognized species within the Latrodectus genus of spiders, which are commonly known as the widow spiders. Black Widow spiders are well known in the United States, and related to other widow spiders around the world such as the button spiders of Africa and the redback spider of Australia.
Each of these 2 oz Monarch Precious Metals Tombstone Black Widow Bars has been polished with an antique finish to give it a spooky appearance. All Monarch Precious Metals silver bars are hand-stamped and hand-poured by the mint for a truly unique finish. This is one of the few products from Monarch with limited issues, meaning the mint won't strike more and will not accept special requests for serial numbers.
On the obverse of all Tombstone Black Widow Silver Bars you'll find the engraving of "RIP," for Rest in Peace, at the top. This is accompanied by the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar, along with the image of a Black Widow spider. The spider design is complete with the traditional red hour-glass found on the backs of the spiders, which make them easily recognizable.
The reverse of all the bars you'll find a circular image at the top that includes the Monarch Precious Metals name, as well as the refinery's crown logo. That crown is formed through a combination of the letters "MPM," and at the bottom of the bar there is an engraving of the serial number for each bar.
Monarch Precious Metals is a private refinery that opened in 2008 in the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon. The mint makes all of its products with a minimum purity of .999 silver or gold, and every bar or round is hand-stamped, and hand-poured for an authentic, traditional look.
