After the total mintage for American Silver Eagles dropped by nearly a million from 1995 to 1996, the total mintage increased every year until 2000. Proof versions of the series reached nearly 550,000 which at the time was the highest mark since 1990.
All 1999-P 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagle Coins arrive in NGC protective plastic slabs. All coins in this product listing are PF69 coins which are in near-perfect condition. PF69 coins feature a maximum of 2 minor detractions and feature the coins’ full, original mint luster. These coins are also UCAM proofs which have strong, frosted design elements with deeply mirrored clear background fields.
The obverse field of 1999-P 1 oz Proof American Eagles showcases Adolph A. Weinman’s Walking Liberty. She is seen confidently walking towards the sunset on the left of the coin. Liberty can be seen also donning the American flag over her shoulder with oaken branches in her left arm.
