Each of the 1995 1/10 oz Proof American Gold Eagles found in this product listing earned PF70 certifications from the NGC. Coins in this condition are considered perfect and exhibit full, original mint luster. Additionally, you’ll find no detracting flaws on the surface areas or design elements of a PF70 coin.
The included UCAM label stands for ultra-cameo. This is a special designation for proof coins with strong, frosted matte design elements overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. The combined visual elements create impressive visual contrasts.
With a total mintage of 62,667 coins in the 1995 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle issue, the mintage was down 182 coins from the 1994 release. However, 30,102 of these 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagles in 1995 were sold initially as part of a 10th Anniversary American Eagle Set which included all four Proof Gold Eagles and a special Proof American Silver Eagle struck with an “S” mint mark at the San Francisco Mint.
On the obverse of the Proof American Gold Eagle Coin, you’ll find the nation’s most iconic coin design of all time. Created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, this image of Liberty was the leading design in a reformation of American coin design during the early 20th century which reflected the growing international prominence and power of the United States.
The reverse side of the 1995 1/10 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coin features the image of bald eagles. Designed by Miley Busiek specifically for use on the Gold Eagle collection, this rendition of the bald eagle includes a male flying over the family nest where a female shelters a hatchling under her wing.
