One of the most popular annual releases in the world is that of the Mexican Silver Libertad. Being released annually since 1982, the Silver Libertad is known as the first annual-silver bullion coin. The 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad has been released annually since 1982. In 11 of its first 12 years of being released, yearly mintages eclipsed 1 million. In 1991, fractional ounces were released with four weights ranging from 1/20 oz to 1/2 oz. In 1996, a 2 oz coin and a 5 oz coin debuted. In 2008, a 1 kilo silver version made its debut as well. These coins are also made available in gold, with proof strikes being available in both metals.
Each 1990 1 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coin Will arrive in an individual plastic flip. These flips will preserve the condition of your silver during transit. While these coins don’t have a face value, their metal content is backed by Banco de Mexico.
The obverse field of the 1990 Mexican Silver Libertad Coin features the coat of arms of Mexico. This symbol showcases an eagle clutching a rattlesnake in its talons and beak. The eagle is perched on a prickly pear cactus with oak and laurel leaves underneath.
Winged Victory is shown on the reverse field of each 1990 1 oz Silver Libertad Coin. She’s shown in front-facing relief as she marches toward the viewer holding a wreath crown in one hand and broken chains in the other. In the background, we see the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl mountains.
