The American Silver Eagle was introduced by the United States Mint in 1986. Originally offered with BU and Proof versions, the BU Silver Eagle has been the only option offered every year since the program’s debut. In this listing, you have an opportunity to own a Certified American Silver Eagle from each year of issue through 2025 in a 41-coin set. Now, 1986-2025 American Silver Eagle 41-Coin Sets are available in certified condition online from JM Bullion.
Coin Set Highlights:
The obverse of 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins features a portrait of Lady Liberty known as Walking Liberty. This effigy was designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and first featured on the US Half Dollar. It captures her full-length figure in left-profile relief draped in the American flag. She walks toward the sun on the horizon with her right hand extended as her left clutches the branches of oak and laurel.
On the reverse of each American Silver Eagle, you will find an image of the American bald eagle. Coins in this set dated 1986 to 2021 include John Mercanti’s heraldic eagle design. Coins dated 2021-2025 feature the new image of a soaring bald eagle created by Emily Damstra. Please note that the transition from the original design to the new design results in two 2021-dated coins in the set.
American Silver Eagle Coins recently underwent a redesign on the reverse field. Unless Congress specifies otherwise, the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized to redesign coins only once within 25 years of the first adoption of a design. The Silver Eagle maintained the same reverse from 1986 to 2021, with a new design introduced midway through the year as part of the program’s 35th anniversary.
These 1986-2025 American Silver Eagle 41-Coin Sets include coins in Mint State 69 condition. Coins with this grade showcase full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor flaws. Those flaws must be located outside the primary focal points and are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines. Each coin is housed in an individual slab and all 41 coins arrive together in a box.
