On the obverse of coins in the 1986-2021 American Silver Eagle Series, you will find the historic image of Walking Liberty. This design comes from the US half dollar available from 1916 to 1947 and was designed by Adolph A. Weinman.
The reverse side of 1986-2021 American Silver Eagle Coins includes the heraldic eagle of the United States. The heraldic eagle featured here was modified in 1986 by John Mercanti and depicts a powerful bald eagle with the US national shield, the olive branch of peace, and the arrows of war.
These 1986-2021 American Silver Eagles all have Mint State 69 certifications from the NGC. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and come with no more than two minor detracting flaws. Examples of acceptable flaws at this grade level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines and must be found outside the primary focal points of the coin.
