Each 1925 Peace Silver Dollar offered here comes in Mint State 64 condition. Coins with this grade exhibit average luster for the strike. Several small contact marks are possible in groups, as well as one or two moderately heavier marks. One or two small patches of hairlines are also possible.
Overall, the 1925 Peace Silver Dollar in certified condition is a valuable addition to any collection. The 1925 date is considered common among Peace Dollar, but it does have a far lower mintage than predecessors in 1922 and 1923, in particular. In total, the Philadelphia Mint struck 10.198 million coins and the San Francisco Mint issued 1.61 million. Production in 1922, on the other hand, was well over 65 million coins and in 1923 production was well over 56 million coins.
In the obverse design of the 1925 Peace Dollar Coin, the mint features Lady Liberty. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, this left-profile bust captures an elegant Lady Liberty with a towering crown of light on her head.
For the reverse of 1925 Peace Silver Dollars, the US Mint showcases the concept of peace that drove the redesign of silver dollars in 1921. Here, the American bald eagle is shown perched on an olive branch with the sun rising in the distance and its wings folded at its sides.
