The Peace Silver Dollar was issued from 1921 to 1935 and is the final Silver Dollar design to contain actual silver content. Three branches of the US Mint struck these coins during its 15-year run, Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco. Of the 190,577,279 silver coins that were struck, over 111 million of them were struck at the Philadelphia Mint.
The obverse of the 1925 Peace Dollar Coin features Lady Liberty, designed by Anthony de Francisci. This design depicts Lady Liberty in left-profile relief donning a radiate crown. Notably, Francisci’s wife served as the model for this design.
The reverse of the 1925 Silver Dollar Coin showcases an American bald eagle, also designed by Anthony de Francisci. The eagle is seen in right-profile relief, perched on a rock, with an olive branch in its talons.
Each 1925 Peace Silver Dollar Coin will arrive in a protective plastic slab from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. These coins have been graded as Mint State 63, which indicates impaired luster with a variety of flaws such as several small contact marks, heavier contact marks, and light hairlines.
