Coin Highlights:
Each 1923 Peace Silver Dollar Coin will arrive in a protective plastic slab from the NGC. Each coin has been given a grade of MS64 by the NGC as well. An MS64 coin indicates an average luster along with scattered contact marks and hairline scratches. Some of these marks may be in prime focal areas.
Lady Liberty is on the obverse of the 1923 Peace Dollar Coin. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, who used his wife as his model, Liberty is seen in left-profile relief wearing a radiate crown.
An American bald eagle is on the reverse of the 1923 Silver Dollar Coin. The eagle is perched on a rock while clutching an olive branch in its talons. We can see rays of sun beaming up from the bottom right of the coin.
Peace Silver Dollars were struck at three branches of the US Mint from 1921 to 1935, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver. Coins without a mint mark, indicate that they were struck at the Philadelphia Mint. Nearly 3/4 of all Peace Silver Dollars struck at the Philadelphia Mint were struck between the years of 1922 and 1923.
