In 1911, the United States was in the midst of rapid industrialization, with factories and manufacturing industries expanding across the country. This led to urbanization as people moved from rural areas to cities in search of employment opportunities. As the national economy grew, international trade with European partners increased as well. The Fairmont Collection offers Pre-33 US Gold Eagles repatriated to the US after being discovered in foreign banks after several decades. Right now, certified 1911-D $5 Indian Gold Half Eagle Coins are available to purchase online at JM Bullion.

Each of the 1911-D $5 Indian Gold Half Eagles available here come in AU58 condition. This grade stands for About Uncirculated 58 and refers to a coin at the highest end of the AU spectrum. Coins with this grade exhibit only trace signs of friction on the highest relief points, along with medium or even near-full mint luster.
This 1911-D Indian Gold Half Eagles is a unique specimen, not only for its status as a coin from the group of Pre-33 Gold Coins known as the Fairmont Collection, but also for the rarity of its date and mintage. Indian Gold Half Eagles were struck from 1908 to 1916 and again in 1929. The Denver Mint only issued Indian Half Eagles in 1908, 1909, 1010, 1911, and 1914. The 1911 date was the lowest the Denver Mint issued in this series.
In the obverse design of the 1911-D $5 Indian Half Eagle, the US Mint features Bela Lyon Pratt’s bust of an indigenous figure. This incuse-struck design is sunk into the surface of the coin and features a left-profile bust of an indigenous figure wearing a feathered headdress.
For the reverse face of 1911-D Indian Gold Half Eagle Coins, you will find the image of an American bald eagle perched on a sheaf of arrows. The sheaf is wrapped in an olive branch, contrasting the symbol of war with a symbol of peace.
